Previously only one national winner and a few runners-up were chosen. Large chapters dominated; smaller chapters with exemplary programs weren't able to compete. The changes in the award and how it will be judged, now level the playing field and enable both large and small chapters to be recognized for commendable performance.
The customary deadline for submitting the Annual Chapter Report is October 15th. An extension until November 15th can be obtained by contacting Kathy Ricker at HKN headquarters (Kathy@hkn.org or 1-800-406-2590).
We hope all chapters will make the effort to be recognized by this award. Chapter officers and Faculty Advisors are strongly encouraged to engage their membership in providing an annual report that reflects the dynamic activities and efforts of their members.
