CHICAGO – September 15, 2005 – Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) today announced the availability of HKN's new Web site, now better serving Eta Kappa Nu's members at www.hkn.org.
Well organized and providing a comprehensive resource of activities, service, and history, the on-line resource encourages the growth of HKN yet helps maintain its roots and ideals. Also more user-friendly and offering many new tools and features, the Web site now presents each student chapter with a section to post activities, officers, and plans.
Robert Janowiak, HKN executive director, praised the information technology team: "The new HKN Web site encompasses the entire organization and activities. It will provide student and alumni members a major resource covering all aspects of the HKN organization."
The Web site offers new features designed to aid all HKN members, from the student and professor to the alumnus, including the following:
- HKN News section, detailing information on the latest happenings within HKN, including committee, chapter, and headquarters activities
- Contributions section, assisting HKN alumni who want to financially support ECE programs and activities
- Chapter Administration section, with eight tools aiding chapter leaders and advisors with information on chapter activities such as Student Chapter Projects, operations, recruitment, and induction rituals
- More detail on additional tools such as chapter resources, awards, activities, products, and membership
By providing more chapter support, posting updated information on HKN happenings, assisting alumni who wish to financially support HKN, making available particulars on HKN awards, offering ideas on increasing recruitment, and sharing facts about HKN history, the new HKN Web site is sure to accomplish its goals of bringing HKN's 200 chapters and 200,000 members together to revitalize the scholastic honor society and help shape and catalyze the future of electrical and computer engineering.
