Contributions
Dear Eta Kappa Nu members and Friends,

As we continue the 2007-08 contribution campaign, the officers of Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) take this opportunity to highlight the events and honorees in 2007.

Wallace Read, Gordon Moore, and Gordon Bell have joined the ranks of 117 Eminent Members, whose achievements exemplify contributions not only to ECE as a profession, but also to humanity. Benjamin Moss, 2007 Outstanding ECE Student Award winner, and 15 Outstanding Chapter Award winners were recognized in March 2007 at the annual meeting of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department Heads Association (ECEDHA). HKN maintains a close relationship with ECEDHA and universities across North America. Details of the awards program are on the HKN Web site (http://hkn.org), and we encourage you to submit nominations.

The University of California - Berkeley and the University of Missouri - Rolla hosted student leadership conferences this fall. Each chapter planned its two-day program, invited guest speakers, and organized team projects. There was no cost to student attendees, thanks to the generosity of HKN members such as you. Feedback from attendees was positive and enthusiastic, and HKN will continue to support these important conferences in leadership skills development-necessary to students in their future careers.

In direct response to members' frequent requests, HKN has partnered with Experience, Inc., a career services center. Experience offers a searchable job and internship database, resume posting, tips and techniques for resumes and interviews, and articles and insights about entering the professional world or changing career paths. There is also a section for alumni connections so members can interact after graduation. Recruit the best and brightest in ECE to work at your company; member-to-member job postings are free. Visit http://hkn.experience.com to access your free HKN account.

We hope you will continue to support these initiatives. HKN is a 501(c)3 organization, and all donations are tax-deductible. Contributions can be sent to the headquarters office.

If a financial contribution is not feasible at this time, please get involved in a local chapter, nominate a colleague for an award, or recruit or mentor student members through Experience.

Thank you in advance for your support. Please continue to visit the Web site (http://hkn.org) for organization news and to update your contact information as it changes.

Warmest personal regards,

Roger L. Plummer
Executive Director
